City staff understands that road construction can have a significant impact on motorists and works hard to minimize traffic delays and congestion.
Below is information about current and future road construction in the city:
2008 Projects:
- 119th Street, Riley to U.S. 69
- Antioch Road, 151st to 167th streets
- Quivira Road, 175th to 179th streets
- 95th Street and Foster Street
Indian Creek Flood Control Project
Thoroughfare Maintenance (mill and overlay):
- 119th Street, U.S. 69 west to Pflumm
- Saddle Hills, 83rd and Antioch
Ongoing Road/Thoroughfare Projects:
- Antioch and I-435 Interchange
- Metcalf Avenue, 99th to 103rd streets
- Nall Avenue, 143rd to 159th streets

- On Jan. 29, voters overwhelmingly approved the continuation of the 1/8 cent sales tax for residential neighborhood streets and thoroughfares
Road Closure Information:
- Orange Barrel Alert/Report - Keep updated on road construction projects and closures. Email messages will be sent out for road and lane closures when necessary.
