Entertaining your children during the summer can be quite a challenge.
The Parks and Recreation Department can help through summer programs for children:
Cooperative Games
Children, ages 6-12, will pay a variety of indoor and outdoor games, developing movement skills, cooperation, sportsmanship and social skills.
- Where: Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 119th and Lamar
- Instructor: Rick Mankameyer, teacher, Shawnee Mission School District
- When: One-week sessions: June 9–13; June 16–20; June 23-27; July 7-11; July 14–19; July 21-25; Morning (9 a.m. to noon), afternoon (12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and full day classes (9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) available.
- Cost: $60 for half day and $110 for full day
