$1 admission; concessions available

Participants can check in at 7:45 a.m. Field events start at 8 a.m.; track events at 9 a.m.

Eligibility:

The Johnson County Meet is open to boys and girls, ages 6-14, who live in Johnson County and are supported by one of the following Parks and Recreation Departments: Blue Valley, Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Olathe, Overland Park or Shawnee.

Girls get ready for a Hershey raceParticipants can enter a maximum of one track and two field events or one field and two track events. They must compete in their age group in their respective male/female division.

Age categories are figured not on actual age, but the age of the child on Dec. 31, 2008; therefore, 6 year olds have to be born in 2002, 7 year olds in 2001 and so forth (birth certificates required for those, ages 9-14).

The top six qualifiers, ages 9 to 14, in each event will advance to the Kansas State Meet June 20-21 in Overland Park.
