A graduate of Blue Valley North High School, Ashley Hunter is a senior at the University of Northern Iowa where she is majoring in leisure, youth and human services with an emphasis in programming and youth services.

Ashley has been swimming competitively since she was 8 years old.

She was on the swim team at Blue Valley North where she received a swimming scholarship for UNI. She swims the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 100 freestyle, and holds pool records at UNI in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.

This will be Ashley’s fourth summer coaching the Waves swim and dive teams and her eighth summer working for the City of Overland Park.
