The city's smallest pool, Stonegate was built in 1965.
After more than 40 years of summertime fun, the pool was closed at the end of the 2008 season so construction could begin on a new $4.3 million facility.
The new facility is expected to open in June 2009.

It will include:
- 7,100 square feet of water;
- One 22-foot high spiral water slide with approximately 135 feet of twists and turns;
- A 1 meter diving board;
- Side diving;
- Youth pool with fountain features
- 25 meter lap lane;
- More than 25 feet of zero depth area;
- Shade/relaxation space;
- Spray park and second slide master planned for future expansion;
- A main building with pool offices,
a concession stand and locker rooms and family changing space; - 60 parking spaces;
- Extensive landscaping to shield Antioch Road.
