The City of Overland Park reserves the right to revoke any persons (family) membership(s) that have falsified information regarding residency of Overland Park, and that all persons listed on the family membership live in the immediate household. Memberships also may be revoked for not abiding to the pool regulations and rules or attempting to transfer membership cards.
These rules supplement the provisions of Overland Park Municipal Code Section 10.04. A copy is posted on the pool bulletin board.
All pools may have alternate hours of operation due to authorized special events or during the first or final weeks of operation due to personnel shortages. Special schedules will be posted at the pools.

Admission by members with their photo ID card only or without card within seven days of membership purchase (must show receipt as proof of date purchased). All guests to the facility must pay admission, even if they are only going to watch. Benches have been provided outside of the facilities for guests that do not want to pay to enter the facility.

Paying guests may be admitted at any time, except when in the opinion of the Pool Manager, an overcrowded condition exists and the pool is temporarily closed for entry.
Flotation devices (any object or device that is used to keep an individual above water) are allowed in the wading pool. For safety reasons: The City of Overland Park will allow a Coast Guard approved life vest to be worn by children 7 and younger or those with a disability. The life vest must have a readable Coast Guard rated label and the guardian must stay within one arms reach of the child with the life vest on at all times. The City of Overland Park does have a limited quantity of Coast Guard approved life vests at each of the six pools that may be used at no charge. Water wings, foam filled suits, and other such flotation devices are not allowed in the pools. Only soft, flexible nerf diving sticks and balls are allowed in the pool.

Only clean t-shirts may be worn in the water. White is recommended.
Eyeglasses will be permitted, provided they are absolutely necessary for vision and are of SAFETY LENS CONSTRUCTION (a lens that will not shatter or break upon contact with a solid object).
Food and soft drinks allowed ONLY in the concession area.
Smoking is PROHIBITED in any portion of the pool facilities or grounds, indoor or outdoor.
No unnecessary conversation with lifeguards on duty.
No running on pool decks.
String and thong bikinis are prohibited.

Boisterousness, profanity or roughness will not be tolerated. Any games endangering swimmers or sunbathers are prohibited.
No swimming inside the diving area. No more than one person at a time allowed on the diving board.
Pool Manager has full authority to enforce all rules and close pool during inclement weather.

Minimum age to be admitted to pool unaccompanied by an adult 12 years or older is 8 years. There must be a minimum adult to child ratio of 1:8 on groups of children under 8 years of age.
Bicycles must be parked in the bicycle racks. Lounge chairs may be brought into the pools and used in designated areas.
No person shall throw objects into the pool.
No glass bottles or containers will be allowed on walks or lawns around pools.
Persons wishing to take pictures inside or outside the pool area must obtain permission from the Pool Manager.
Only diving masks with plastic lens will be permitted in the pool.
- Parents and spectators must remain in the designated area of the pool during swim lessons, unless authorized by the Swimming Lesson Coordinator.
The City of Overland Park will make every attempt to accommodate persons with physical disabilities. Wheelchairs and other such equipment needed to aid persons with a disability are allowed inside the pool. Staff shall provide assistance as required.
