Two construction projects are causing sections of the 17 mile Indian Creek Bike/Hike Trail to be closed with detours this summer:
- 103rd and Metcalf: Road and bridge construction at this intersection has caused this section of the bike/hike trail to be closed; however, a detour is provided. It is expected to reopen along with the new Metcalf/103rd Street bridge this summer, weather permitting.
- Foxhill North and South, east of Roe: A flood control project from Roe Avenue to Mission Road closed this section of the trail, which begins at Foxhill South Park, 109th and Elmonte, in July. It is expected to reopen in June 2009. A detour that sends users up along 103rd Street, over I-435 and into the Foxhill Office Park is in place.
