Neighborhood boundaries are east of Santa Fe Drive, Metcalf to Lowell and 79th to 87th streets. Map it!
Residents named the group after South Lake Park at 87th and Robinson. The group is active in city activities and works to promote a sense of community. South Lake’s most popular activities include a yearly neighborhood-wide garage sale, a summer picnic, and providing food and clothing to one neighborhood family in need during the holidays.
Neighborhood improvement projects and creating an identity for themselves continue to be top priorities while coordinating with the city to address street and storm drainage concerns. Part of the neighborhood will receive new streets and storm sewers through the 2007 Residential Street Program.
South Lake residents established "The Gardeners" which is now open to members of all neighborhood groups.
