The neighborhood boundaries are Metcalf to Lowell, Shawnee Mission Parkway to 71st Street. Map it!
The neighborhood was named after the former Arrowhead Trails Elementary School that was located in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is located just south of the Shawnee Mission Parkway commercial corridor.
Organizing social events and publishing the neighborhood newsletter are the roots of their community building effort. Residents continue to promote neighborhood safety and improve property maintenance by offering informational seminars at neighborhood meetings.
Residents coordinate with city staff and the assigned community policing officer to minimize incompatibilities between the commercial areas along Shawnee Mission Parkway and adjacent residential properties. To increase the awareness of the neighborhood, the group is considering installing neighborhood identification markers.
