The Public Works Department performs cable locates for the city's traffic signals and street lights.

City ordinance and state law require that anyone digging in the public right-of-way contact the local utilities to locate underground conduits, pipes and cables at least 48 hours prior to work commencing.

The City is not on the Kansas ONE-CALL system, so requests for street light and traffic signal cable locates must be made to our Maintenance Division from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 913/327-6600.
