Fingerprinting hours:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday through Friday
Fingerprinting fee:
$5 per card
Overland Park residents and those who work in OP (proof required) may have
their fingerprints taken. Cards are provided.
Note: The Police Department uses a digital fingerprint machine, which does not allow the "inking" of fingerprints. The machine captures the prints digitally and then prints them on blank stock print cards. These cards contain the same information as the old "inked" cards.
We have checked with the FBI and KBI. Both will accept the new fingerprint cards for record checks.
We will no longer "ink" prints onto customer provided cards.
INS Fingerprints
Fingerprints also may be taken for Immigration (INS)
purposes if the requester is applying for a green card. A requester
needing fingerprints for citizenship or naturalization must go
to an INS office. The hours and fees remain the same for INS fingerprinting.
The requester does not have to live or work in Overland Park.
