Only the Farmstead supervisor can authorize the cancellation of a reservation or event due to inclement weather.

Text or Email Notifications

RainedOut is a FREE service and will allow staff to deliver urgent alerts via text message or email notifying users of Farmstead closures and/or delays caused by lightning or inclement weather. Staff will send out the alert text before updating the rain-out line.*

You will not receive any spam or unsolicited content - all messages will be sent from Overland Park's Farmstead personnel.

1. Go to www.rainedout.com
2. Search "Farmstead" if it's not displayed at the top.
3. Enter your 10-digit PHONE or EMAIL address.

1. Send a text to: 84483 and text in one of the keywords depending on your interest.  
   • Farmstead:  farmstead
   • Birthday Parties:  candle
   • Farmstead Tour:  fstour
   • History Tour: oldtime (fishing, school house & Indian Encampment)
     
2. After sending the message you will receive a confirmation text that you are signed up.

Troubleshooting

Q. I'm not getting a validation code, or not receiving messages...what am I doing wrong?

A. If you or any of your members are not receiving messages, you'll want to call your cell phone carrier and ask them to enable short code SMS messaging on your phone. Notify the person that you are trying to receive messages from 84483.
