Massage Therapists Biographies

The massage therapists are licensed and trained in all massage types. All of them received their certification from Johnson County Community College. Two of the massage therapists have received additional accreditation.

Carol Garman (913-706-0487)

  • Received her National Accreditation in 2005 and is also certified in Special Needs Massage and Pregnancy Massage.
  • She volunteers and is trained to do therapeutic massage for the Kansas City Hospice.
  • She served as a clinic instructor for the massage program at JCCC and provided chair massage to their faculty and staff.
  • Her sessions provide relaxation and comfort to individuals for wellness as well as clients experiencing restless leg syndrome, pregnancy, pain and stress.
  • She performs therapeutic massage on athletes with or without injury as well as referrals from physical therapists.
 

Debbie Hennecke (913-522-0617)

  • Received her initial certification in 2002, and has since earned additional certificates including National Accreditation.
  • She specializes in therapeutic techniques for individuals of all ages with health challenges and special needs.
  • Her session incorporates Swedish and Esalen massage with a variety of other modalities such as Myofacial Release, and passive stretches used in Thai massage to provide a truly relaxing experience.
  • She is also certified in Pregnancy Massage.
 

Gary McCarthy (913-484-5987)

  • Focuses on Sports massage, traditional Thai work, Esalen, Corporate Chair massage, Chinese Cupping, and Reflexology.
  • He prefers doing massage work at a slower pace, believing that the client will enjoy the experience better and also allows time to work areas that need attention.
  • He welcomes the opportunity to introduce a client to their first massage or work with clients that have received massages many times.

Tami Pemberton (913-638-6098)

  • Has been practicing the art of effective massage therapy since 2005
  • She is proficient in Swedish, Esalen, Performance, Sports, Hot Stone, and Chair massage.
  • Her goal is to provide her clients with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, a high quality massage experience by nurturing, comforting, and a healing touch while balancing Body, Mind and Soul.
  • Her business background includes 23 years in the corporate world.
