Oxycodone and heroin: Down the Up Staircase

Since 2007, police officers in Johnson County have responded to nearly 90 cases of overdose and 35 deaths involving the illegal use of oxycodone and heroin.

Many of the victims are high school students or recent graduates. The Overland Park Police Department, working closely with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's Office, along with other local agencies, has produced video and PowerPoint presentation.
