Thoroughfare Street Improvement Program
Constructing two-lane unimproved thoroughfares to the city's four-lane standard and widening existing four-lane thoroughfares to six lanes relieves traffic congestion and improves safety.
Revenue from the 1/8 cent sales tax is used in part to widen thoroughfares and enhance traffic management systems and traffic flow on these main corridors in the city.
