Christmas Tree Recycling
Real Christmas trees are more environmentally-friendly than their plastic and steel brethren. Recycling your tree following the holidays is a great way to return it to nature.
Each year, Overland Park allows residents to drop off their Christmas trees during daylight hours at four locations. The trees are mulched and used in city parks.
You can drop off your tree Dec. 26 through Sunday, Jan. 8, at the following locations:
Please remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments, presents (yes, sometimes gifts are found), and tree stand.
