Overland Park, KS - Slower traffic movement ahead for drivers who travel Antioch Road south of I-435.

Beginning July 7, a single southbound lane of traffic will be open through July 19 from 108th Terrace south to 120th Terrace.

Currently, there are lane closures limiting traffic during construction hours. However, that will change to 24 hours a day July 7-19 as crews begin to add a third lane on the outside. This will require closure of one lane and limit through traffic on a single lane.

Beginning July 14, a single northbound lane of traffic will be available through July 26.

Closure of the Antioch and College Boulevard intersection is tentatively set for July 31 through Aug. 9.

All construction timetables are dependent upon weather.
Metcalf Avenue and Quivira Road are possible alternate routes.

Construction on the $8.3 million project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

News FactsMore than 24,600 vehicles travel in both direction on Antioch Road. It is being widened from a four-lane thoroughfare to six lanes, from 108th Terrace to 120th Terrace. Construction should be done in the fall.
