Overland Park, KS - Weather permitting, 99th Street, between Metcalf and Marty, will be closed for approximately 30 days beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Construction crews will perform maintenance on the bridge under 99th Street, 300 feet west of Metcalf. The existing bridge under 99th Street is deteriorating and in need of maintenance. The road will be completely closed to traffic for approximately 30 days.

This work will be complete by late fall and is part of $440,000 of maintenance to be performed at various bridge locations.

Some of the maintenance includes improvements to curbs and gutters, sidewalks, curb inlets and hand railings.

Alternate routes are 95th Street and 103rd Street for eastbound and westbound traffic.
