The Sykes/Lady Overland Park Golf Course is a good place to hang out, if you are a wild animal.

The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses recognized the OP course with its Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary designation. It is given for a strong commitment to an environmental program. This is the eighth course in Kansas to be recognized.

The Audubon Cooperative provides information and guidance to help golf courses preserve and enhance wildlife habitat, and protect natural resources.

The recognition takes into consideration environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, outreach and education, chemical use reduction and safety, water conservation and water quality management.

Congratulations to the OP golf course staff.
