Mayor Carl Gerlach received a prestigious award Monday night.

At the Eighth Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy and Scholarship Awards Dinner, the Mayor was given the Legacy Award.

Nearly 200 people attended Monday's ceremony sponsored by the Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Committee and the Olathe NAACP.
