Use your iPad, smartphone to follow 2012 State of the City speech

Overland Park, KS - Use your smartphone or iPad and talk with Mayor Carl Gerlach during his 2012 State of the City speech.
Gerlach gives his annual speech on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, at noon at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Boulevard. The event is hosted by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.
The Convention Center, Chamber and city are teaming up to live stream the Mayor's annual event on the Internet.
The Convention Center, along with its partner Digitell, is providing the new interactive conference technology and associated service.
Anyone who wants to follow the speech and interact can actually get online, participate in various polling questions or submit questions to the Mayor for consideration. It can be done by attendees, others at their office or home.
All you need is access to the Internet via your smartphone or iPad, laptop or desktop computer. You can access it through the city's Web site, www.opkansas.org, or in the news section of the Chamber's mobile application "OPtoGo," which is available for iPhone and Android phones. Download the free app today.
Wireless access at the Convention Center is available for free.
Mayor Gerlach will have new information about 2012 besides highlighting the past year, as well as videos interspersed throughout.
The city will be updating its Facebook and Twitter accounts with information from the speech during the event.
