Overland Park, KS - Friday, Aug. 13, could be a good or bad day, depending on your exit point from U.S. 69 Highway.

The northbound ramp from U.S. 69 to 95th Street, which is currently closed, will reopen at approximately 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, weather permitting.

Once it reopens and later that same day the northbound ramp from U.S. 69 to 87th Street will close.
The off ramp at 87th Street is set to reopen in November. It is being reconstructed.

This construction season marks the second year of the $82.3 million project. Overland Park contributed more than $6 million to the project, the rest coming from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

U.S. 69 is being widened from two to three lanes in both directions from I-35 to I-435. Construction is set for completion in 2011.

The Kansas Department of Transportation is the administrator of the project.
