Overland Park, KS - Residents are invited to offer suggestions on proposed projects contained in the 2011-2015 Capital Improvements Program during two public meetings on Monday.

Public comment sessions are during the Planning Commission meeting at 1:30 p.m. Monday; and at the City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The CIP includes large projects, such as improvements to residential streets, thoroughfares and sidewalks, and the purchase of large equipment such as fire trucks.
Both meetings will be held in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive.

The CIP is a five-year plan on future public improvements and facilities in the city. It provides data concerning costs, timing, funding sources, budget impacts and alternatives.

Preparation of the 2011-2015 CIP began last fall as a step in development of the 2011 operating budget.
If you wish to submit comments via e-mail, you can send them to city@opkansas.org.

For more information, call 913/895-6000 or visit the City's Web site at www.opkansas.org.
