Not immune from the rainfall deluge seen across the metropolitan area, the City of Overland Park faces challenges at some of its facilities. Ground water has flowed into both the Marty and Roe swimming pools, bringing with it dirt. Both pools are closed at this time. The City is cleaning and filtering the pools to get them back open as soon as possible.

A decision will be made by 3 p.m. as to whether Marty will be open for evening swim lessons today. The City hopes to have both pools open by Tuesday. Please consult the city's website, www.opkansas.org, for status updates.
