Overland Park, KS - Northbound Quivira Road will be closed north of 103rd Street on Monday, requiring a detour for drivers.

Beginning at 7 a.m., construction will begin to install a new storm sewer line across the northbound lanes as part of the widening of Quivira from four to six lanes. Quivira is being widened from 99th Street to 105th Street.

The suggested detour route for northbound traffic is to go east on 103rd Street to U.S. 69, north on U.S. 69 to 95th Street, and west on 95th.

Northbound traffic should reopen in time for Monday afternoon rush hour, if possible, but certainly by Tuesday morning.

Southbound traffic is not restricted during this closure.

Quivira widening is expected to be finished later this year.

This project is separate from the new Quivira and I-435 Interchange being built by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
