Overland Park, KS - Cooler temps are arriving just in time for the annual Farmstead Stampede OP5K this Saturday at the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.

This fund-raiser has several levels of participation, including competitive and non-competitive races. The route will use a portion of the Overland Park trail system that winds behind the Farmstead, 13800 Switzer, and St. Andrews Golf Course, 11099 W. 135th St.

Awards will be given to the top overall male and female winners, including cash prizes; the top master male and female runners, as well as the top three male and female finishers in various age divisions.

You can still register on the day of the race.

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., warm up at 7:15 a.m., and competitive run starts at 7:30 a.m. with a fun run/walk to immediately follow.

This is a great family event and a chance to see the Farmstead on a beautiful early Kansas morning. Money raised from this annual event will be used to support the Farmstead.
