Road construction in Overland Park is warming up with the spring weather.

If you drive Antioch Road, south of I-435, be ready to navigate the barrels.

Beginning in late April, work to widen Antioch from four to six lanes, south of I-435, will begin. Work is expected to be substantially complete in September.

Other major projects for this year include 143rd Street, Quivira to Switzer, which will be closed beginning in May; various road maintenance projects with new asphalt; and other projects.
