Kids, technology and outdoors
March 3, 2010
Usually when you associate kids and technology, you automatically think it's an indoor activity.
Not at the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, 8909 W. 179th St., half a mile west of the U.S. 69 and 179th Street interchange.
Geocaching, a high-tech treasure hunting game, combines kids with GPS devices to locate outdoor hidden containers called geocaches. It's fun for the entire family. GPS devices are provided. If you have your own, you can bring it.
It is free and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, March 15, during spring break.
You must make a reservation by calling 913/685-3604. Space is limited.
