Avoid becoming an identity theft victim

June 22, 2010

Avoid becoming an identity theft victim by destroying unwanted and outdated, sensitive documents at one of our volunteer-run paper shredding events.

Take your outdated documents to Overland Park Parks & Forestry Headquarters, 11921 Lowell, behind the fire station on Saturday, June 26, from 8 a.m. to noon.

You can drop off your materials, or stay on-site and watch Pro-Shred, a professional document destruction company, shred it in front of you. The shredded paper will be recycled.

Suggested donation for this service is $5 for a standard file box or $10 for larger quantities. Staples, paper and binder clips, and plastic covers are OK.
