Take time off from work and contribute to the success of the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens.

The annual Council President's Green Space Golf Tournament, sponsored by Friends of the Arboretum, is Friday, Sept. 24, at St. Andrews Golf Club, 11099 W. 135th Street.

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. You may register for $150 and form your own team, or be paired with others.

Raffle items, a silent auction, on-course games and other activities are planned.

Raffle items include an Apple iPad Wi-Fi, a 26 inch Vizio HDTV, or a wind sculpture by renowned artist Lyman Whitaker.

Proceeds from this tournament will benefit projects at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, 8909 W. 179th Street.
