Come enjoy one of the most spectacular Fourth of July shows in metropolitan Kansas City.

The annual Star Spangled Spectacular in Corporate Woods Founders' Park, 9711 W. 109th Street, is set to begin with music and food at 4 p.m. Sunday (rain date is July 5 - info will be posted on city's Web site front page - www.opkansa.org).

Bring your food, drink, chairs or blankets. You can also buy your refreshments at various vendor booths.

The spectacular fireworks show is even better this year. The usual finale includes three-inch aerial shell explosions.

In addition, there is a grand finale to the finale. Overland Park is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a 50-shot tribute of five-inch gold shells. There will be 10 launches, each with five shells, for a total of 30 seconds.

Fireworks are set to begin at about 9:30 p.m.

Make your plans today to attend this spectacular Fourth of July show that is ‘above and beyond' all the rest.
