Potholes and Pavement Repairs

Pavement RepairThe city maintains more than 1,800 lanes of street pavement and patches thousands of potholes each year.

Routine street maintenance reduces the number of repairs required. Scheduled maintenance programs include crack seal, microsurfacing and cape seal, slurry seal, and mill and overlay.

When pavement problems, such as potholes, are reported, major thoroughfares are given higher priority and are generally repaired within 48 to 72 hours.

The average response time on residential streets is three to five working days.

To report a pothole or pavement problem, submit a help request through OPCares, the city's customer service system, with a description of the problem, location and any other pertinent information.
