Food/Restaurant establishments are inspected before they open, when ownership changes or if a complaint is received.

Community Services has implemented a Risk-Based Restaurant Inspection Program and each food/restaurant establishment receives a minimum of one unannounced routine inspection per year.

Food/restaurant inspections dating back to 2001 are available online.

The city does not inspect grocery stores, schools and day care facilities; they are inspected by the state.
