Traffic congestion is the number one concern of Overland Park residents according to the "Direction Finder" Survey done by the city in prior years. To help alleviate congestion and travel delays, the city has an aggressive Capital Improvement Program to enhance our roadway system by adding additional travel lanes and enhancing intersection geometrics. In addition to this construction program, the city has looked to technology to try and manage existing roadways more efficiently.
