I own commercial buildings that are close to the floodplain. How do I get an official determination of my status?
FEMA provides official confirmation of floodplain status using the Letter of Map Change process. Commercial and other non-residential properties are not covered in this special process. Owners of these buildings; however, may obtain their own surveys and submit a request for a "Letter of Map Amendment." Please contact us for advice on how to start that process.
