The Fire Department welcomes the opportunity to talk about the fire profession. In the past, staff has visited classrooms, set up booths at Career Fairs and provided speakers for school-wide Career Days.

In addition to videos and informational handouts, staff will bring an assortment of hand tools and fire gear for the participants to pick-up and try on.

In addition to firefighting, staff will provide information on emergency medicine, fire protection engineering, arson investigation, computer and data processing, public education, media relations, multimedia, training and administration.

If you are interested in having staff attend a Career Day/Fair, submit a request at least two weeks before your event (four weeks preferred, especially if it's an all-day event).

Career programs are for middle school/junior high and high school students.
