This popular all-skills course is for small to medium-sized fire departments. It is held in the fall at the Overland Park Fire Training Center, 12401 Hemlock.

Activities include:

• SCBA maze in the tower as well as the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute SCBA trailer;
• Live-fire evolutions in a five-story drill tower with fire simulators;
• Vent-enter-search drills;
• Ventilation practices;
• Aerial ladder climb; and
• Propane car and truck fires.

Cost is $50 per participant and includes lunch; free parking. Advance registration is preferred online or by phone, 785-864-4790 (Toll Free 866-804-8841), by Oct. 9. Walk-ins are welcome.

Please Note: Participants are required to have full NFPA-compliant protective firefighting equipment, including SCBA. Please make sure you mark your equipment. Air refill will be available. Air cylinders not in current hydrostatic date will not be refilled
