The fifth- and sixth-grade program is an hour-long interactive lecture with an age-appropriate video.

The video teaches fire safety concepts from proper handling of flammable liquids to holiday decorations and babysitting. After the video, the kids and presenter discuss key points and review cooking safety and firesetting.

The goal of the program is to teach kids that bad fire decisions can ruin their record and affect not only themselves but also their families and friends.

To schedule this program, submit a request to the fire department 30-45 days in advance of your desired date.
