The city and the Environmental Advisory Council will sponsor the 2010 Stream Clean Day April 10. This event helps restore the natural beauty of Overland Park streams by removing trash and debris.
The Stream Clean is an event to pick up trash and debris in parks throughout the city and the areas up to the banks of the streams that run through them. Trash and litter pollutes the water and can cause harm to wildlife.
Last year more than 800 volunteers picked up trash from 33 parks. Individuals and groups are welcome to help with this event.
