On Friday, April 27, the Forestry Division will celebrate Arbor Day, an annual event. Ashley Jacobson, a fifth grader, will assist Councilmember Terry Happer Scheier in planting a tree at City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive. Jacobson won the Kansas poster competition sponsored by the Kansas Forest Service.

Students also participated in a poster contest to submit art dedicated to planting a tree.
