The Fire Department inspects all buildings in Overland Park on a regular basis to ensure they meet today's safety codes as well as tomorrow's challenges.

Each building is assigned an inspector based on its location within the city. After an inspection, the inspector will leave a report for the business manager/owner. The responsible person has 30 days to correct any violations before a re-inspection occurs.

If corrections are not made, the fire inspector will complete a fee for service report.
