2011-2015 Capital Improvement Program

The 2011-2015 CIP totals $121.5 million. Of that total:

  • 76.5 percent of expenditures is for street infrastructure improvements
  • 16.2 percent, parks, public facilities and equipment
  • 7.3 percent, other infrastructure needs.

The CIP includes $35.3 million of funding for projects to be constructed and/or financed in 2011, including:

  • 2011 Neighborhood Streets Reconstruction Program
  • Widening of U.S. Highway, 75th Street to Interstate 435
  • Widening of Quivira Road, 99th to 105th Street
  • Widening of 159th Street, Antioch to Metcalf
  • Widening of 127th Street, Metcalf of Nall

City funding sources, including debt and pay-as-you-go resources from the city's Capital Improvements Fund, will pay for 55.3 percent of plan funding. The remaining 44.7 percent will be proved by non-city sources, including federal, state, county, and other city and developer funding.

The final 2011-2015 CIP was adopted in August 2010 as part of the 2011 Budget.
