2009-2013 Capital Improvements Program
The 2009-2013 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) totals $224.7 million. Of that total:
- 81.6 percent of expenditures is for street infrastructure improvements
- 14.1 percent, parks, public facilities and equipment
- 4.4 percent, other infrastructure needs.
The CIP includes $65.8 million of funding for projects to be constructed and/or financed in 2009, including:
- 2009 Residential Street Program
- Widening of College Boulevard, U.S. Highway 69 to Pflumm Road
- Widening of Switzer Road, 143rd to 151st streets
- Widening of Antioch Road, 151st to 167th streets
City funding sources, including sales tax, debt and pay-as-you-go resources from the city's Capital Improvements Fund, will pay for 70.8 percent of plan funding. The remaining 29.2 percent will be provided by non-city sources, including federal, state, county, other city and developer funding.
The final 2009-2013 CIP was adopted in 2008 as part of the 2009 Budget.
