2008-2012 Capital Improvements Program
The 2008-2012 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) totals $246.7 million. Of that total:
- 84 percent of expenditures is for street infrastructure improvements
- 14 percent, parks, public facilities and equipment
- 4 percent, other infrastructure needs.
The CIP includes $42 million of funding for projects to be constructed and/or financed in 2008, including:
- Reconstruction of Stonegate Pool
- 2008 Residential Street Program
- Widening of 119th Street, Rosana Square to U.S. Highway 69
- Widening of Antioch Road, 151st to 167th streets
- Completion of the interchange at Interstate 435 and Antioch Road
City funding sources, including sales tax, debt and pay-as-you-go resources from the city's Capital Improvements Fund, will pay for 48 percent of plan funding. The remaining 52 percent will be provided by non-city sources, including federal, state, county, other city and developer funding.
The final 2008-2012 CIP was adopted in August 2007 as part of the 2008 Budget.
