2007-2011 Capital Improvements Program
The 2007-2011 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) totals $228 million. Of that total:
- 84.7 percent of expenditures is for street infrastructure improvements
- 12.9 percent, parks, public facilities and equipment
- 2.4 percent, other infrastructure needs.
The CIP includes $60.8 million of funding for projects to be constructed and/or financed in 2007, including:
- Construction of an overpass at 132nd Street and U.S. Highway 69
- 2007 Residential Street Program
- Widening of Metcalf Avenue, 99th to 103rd streets
- Widening of 143rd Street, Antioch Road to Metcalf Avenue
- Widening of Nall Avenue, 143rd to 159th streets
City funding sources, including sales tax, debt and pay-as-you-go resources from the city's Capital Improvements Fund, will pay for 46 percent of plan funding. The remaining 54 percent will be provided by non-city sources, including federal, state, county, other city and developer funding.
The final 2007-2011 CIP was adopted in August 2006 as part of the 2007 Budget.
