Finance & Administration
The Finance & Administration Department is responsible for financial reporting, planning and budgeting. The department also is responsible for financial management, including safekeeping of funds, payment of city bills and maintaining all financial records.
Overland Park has a long-standing record of fiscal responsibility based upon sound financial planning and budgeting. These factors have helped the city maintain a triple-A bond rating since 1986.
The city also has received the Government Finance Officers of America Certificate for Excellence in Financial Reporting annually since 1976, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award annually since 1992.
