The Solid Waste Task Force was created to examine Overland Park's residential trash/recycling, yardwaste and bulky item collections.

The task force will develop a draft solid waste plan and will hold public "town hall" type meetings to solicit comments from the public. Comments may be considered when making revisions prior to the plan's presentation to the City Council in the spring of 2010.

The 15-member task force generally meets from 6 to 8 p.m., the third Thursday of each month in Conference Room 1 of City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive. The public is welcome.
