The Sister City Committee assists and advises the Governing Body on matters relating to Overland Park's implementation and direction of Sister City programs.

Overland Park's sister city is Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany.

The 12-member committee fosters economic development and educational and cultural experiences for the residents of Overland Park through municipal partnerships. Members serve two and three year terms and are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Governing Body.

Regular meetings are not held. When they are called, they are held in Conference Room 1 of City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive. The public is welcome.
