Downtown Business Improvement District Advisory Board
The Downtown BID Advisory Board is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the governance of the Downtown Business Improvement District. The city contracts with the Downtown Overland Park Partnership, Inc., to oversee the business services provided to the businesses located within the BID.
The seven-member board recommends the annual budget, determines the assessment formula and acts as an appeals board for the assessment of fees for downtown businesses. Members serve one and two year terms and are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Governing Body.
Meetings are held at least annually, usually in the fall. Additional meetings are scheduled based on demand and are called by the chairman. The public always is welcome.
