Board of Zoning Appeals

The Board of Zoning Appeals considers requests for relief from the requirements of the zoning ordinance and reviews staff interpretations of the zoning ordinance.

The three types of applications the board considers are variances, appeals of administrative decisions, and non-conforming situation permits.

The seven member board, which is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Governing Body, generally meets at 7 p.m., the second Wednesday of every month in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive. The public is welcome. (See schedule.)

A public hearing is held for each variance request. All board decisions are final.
